Ben Grigg turned his attention to making solo recordings under the name Whelpwisher immediately after Chicago-based indie rock band Geronimo! played their last show in 2015. These recordings served Grigg as idea-engines for his bands over the years. An album that snuck up on me. On first listen I was intrigued. Twenty listens later I'm obsessed. This is not only my favourite album of 2023. It's possibly the best album I've heard in a decade. Bloody brilliant
